A homeowner recently contacted 24/7 Services for Plumbing in Villa Park, IL after a backed-up bathtub stopped draining properly. Our team investigated the blockage and performed branchline rodding to restore proper flow.
We rodded approximately 15 feet of the branch line through the bathtub overflow. During the process, we removed a significant amount of hair that had accumulated in the drain line and contributed to the backup.
Our team also removed the tub plug to access and clean additional sludge and hair buildup from the drain. Clearing both the line and the buildup around the tub drain helped restore consistent drainage.
After completing the cleaning and rodding, we filled and drained the bathtub multiple times to test the repair. The tub drained properly with good flow at the end of the service.
