24/7 Services recently completed a sewer project in Joliet, IL, modifying the home’s overhead sewer system to eliminate points of backup in the basement and improve drainage for the basement plumbing fixtures.
Our team installed new drains from the basement fixtures and directed them to a new ejector pit located in the crawlspace. To complete the installation, we removed the necessary flooring and concrete and excavated within the crawlspace to accommodate the new pit and plumbing.
The project also included rerouting the bathroom plumbing to accommodate the home’s new bathroom design. We reconfigured the drain piping and connected it to the new ejector system.
We installed a new 1/2 HP ejector pump and a 2-inch PVC discharge line, which we connected to the home’s existing plumbing stack. This system pumps wastewater from the basement fixtures into the home’s main drainage system.
As an additional part of the sewer upgrade, our technicians installed a sewer liner from the existing plumbing stack to the 4-inch × 6-inch transition outside the home. This provided a solution for the existing sewer line while complementing the basement drainage modifications.
Homeowners choose 24/7 Services for sewer repairs and upgrades because of our outstanding online reputation and customer reviews, along with our experience handling overhead sewer systems, ejector pumps, sewer lining, and other complex sewer projects.
