A homeowner recently contacted 24/7 Services for sewer service in Montgomery, IL after noticing a persistent sewer odor throughout the home. Our team investigated the problem to identify the source of the smell and determine what was happening inside the sewer system.
During our inspection, we discovered a broken 3-inch brass cleanout cap. We removed the damaged cap and replaced it before our technician performed a sewer camera inspection to get a clear look inside the lines.
The camera inspection revealed significant debris buildup throughout the sewer piping. Based on these findings, we recommended hydro jetting to thoroughly clean the affected lines, and the homeowner approved the service.
Our team accessed three separate 4-inch cast-iron cleanout stacks located in the crawlspace. We hydro jetted each sewer line to break up and flush away accumulated debris toward the main sewer.
By thoroughly cleaning the lines and replacing the damaged cleanout cap, we addressed potential sources of the sewer odor while improving the condition and flow of the sewer system.
Homeowners throughout the area trust 24/7 Services for professional sewer inspections, cleaning, and repairs, backed by our outstanding online reputation and customer reviews.
