24/7 Services recently completed a sewer repair in Prospect Heights, IL, replacing a damaged section of the exterior sanitary sewer line and restoring the system with new PVC piping.
Our team excavated the sanitary sewer line to access the damaged area. We removed approximately 5 feet of damaged piping and replaced it with new PVC. We connected the new piping to the existing sewer line using heavy-duty non-shear couplings in accordance with code.
As part of the repair, we also installed a new exterior cleanout to provide easier access to the sewer line for future maintenance and service. We properly bedded the new piping and packed it in gravel to provide support and help protect the repaired section.
After completing the installation, our technicians hydro-jetted the remaining sewer line to thoroughly clean the piping. We then televised the line with a sewer camera to confirm its condition and verify proper flow.
Once the work was complete, we backfilled the excavation and left the area slightly mounded to allow the soil to settle naturally over time.
Homeowners and property managers choose 24/7 Services because of our outstanding online reputation and customer reviews, along with our experience handling sewer repairs, inspections, hydro jetting, and other sewer services throughout the Chicagoland area.
