A properly functioning kitchen drain system is essential to keep sinks and dishwashers running efficiently. During a recent Plumbing project in Country Club Hills, IL, the experienced technicians at 24/7 Services replaced a kitchen drain arm to restore proper drainage and ensure the homeowner’s kitchen plumbing was working correctly.
The project began by removing the dishwasher to access the plumbing behind it. Our technicians carefully opened the wall behind the dishwasher to expose the existing kitchen drain arm.
Once the piping was accessible, we cut out and removed the existing waste arm extending toward the basement. This allowed us to prepare the plumbing system for installing new drain piping.
With the old piping removed, our plumbing professionals installed a new PVC waste arm connected to the kitchen sink. PVC piping provides a durable, corrosion-resistant solution for residential drain systems.
After installing the new drain arm, we reconnected the dishwasher and connected the new piping to the garbage disposal trap, restoring the kitchen’s drainage connections.
Before completing the project, our technicians ran water through both kitchen sinks and operated the dishwasher to test the newly installed drain piping and connections for leaks.
These final checks helped ensure the kitchen plumbing was functioning properly and ready for everyday use.
